Course Outline
This is a unique, premium training course that delivers the CCP course content followed by the CCA training content. This is possible due to overlap in the training content. All official training content is delivered, however, some areas are accelerated due to the duplicate nature of some sections.
Due to the immense amount of information delivered this course is typically reserved for students with experience with NIST controls.

What are the prerequisites to get certified?

Take CCP and CCA training with a CAICO Approved Training Provider (ATP). ATPs can be found through the CMMC Marketplace.

Note: Only individuals successfully trained by an LTP will have access to register to take the CCA exam

Prerequisites for CCP Certification
-
To achieve certification, candidates must:
-
Complete CCP training from a Cyber AB/CAICO Approved Training Provider.
-
Pass the CCP certification exam.
-
Recommended educational and/or experience for the CCP program:
-
College degree in a cyber or informational technology field or 2+ years of related experience or education or 2 years of equivalent experience (including military) in a cyber, information technology, or assessment field; and
-
CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent knowledge/experience; and
-
DoD CUI Awareness Training DoD Mandatory Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Training (usalearning.gov)

Hold a favorable DoD Tier 3 Background Investigation or equivalent international background check of security clearance.

Prerequisites for CCA Certification
-
To achieve certification, candidates must:
-
Hold an active CMMC Certified Professional (CCP) Certification; and
-
Obtain or have a Tier 3 determination from DoD; and
-
Apply & Remain in good standing with the CAICO; and
-
Sign and Comply with agreements as part of the application process
-
Pay Fees (initial application and annual renewal fees)
-
Complete CMMC Certified Assessor class/course offered by an Approved Training Provider (ATP), formerly referred to as a Licensed Training Provider (LTP); and
-
Pass CMMC Certification Assessor examination; and
-
Meet experience requirements:
-
Have at least three (3) years of cybersecurity experience; and
-
One (1) year of assessment or audit experience; and
-
-
Hold at least one baseline certification aligned to the Intermediate and/or Advanced Proficiency Level for the Career Pathway Certified Assessor 612 from the DoD Manual 8140.3 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification & Management Program.

Prerequisites for Lead CMMC Certified Assessor (Lead CCA) Designation:
-
Qualify as a Lead CCA by having:
-
At least 5 years of cybersecurity experience; and
-
5 years of management experience, and
-
3 years of assessment or audit experience; and
-
At least one foundational qualification aligned to Advanced Proficiency Level of the DoD Cyberspace Workforce Framework’s
Security Control Assessor (612) Work Role, from DoD Manual 8140.03.
