GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Student Communication Obligations

All students and organizations are required to add info@cybersecuritytrainingco.com to their Safe Senders list and monitor their email regularly for communications from Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC.

Failure to review or respond to emails within the timeframes specified in this policy or within individual communications may result in the forfeiture of key rights, including but not limited to:

  • rescheduling,

  • refund eligibility,

  • or the ability to retain access to the training purchased.

Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC is not responsible for communications missed due to spam filters, firewalls, or other email delivery issues on the recipient’s side.

Registration and Payment

Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, determined by the date payment is received in full via check or completed credit card authorization form.

All training—whether publicly scheduled or custom-developed—must be paid in full prior to delivery. In the case of custom-developed courses, payment must be received before content is delivered or transitioned to the customer.

Attendance is not confirmed until payment in full is received unless explicitly authorized in writing by Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC.

Standard Organization Payment Terms

Unless otherwise agreed to in writing:

  • A 50% deposit is due at least 45 business days prior to the first day of class.

  • The remaining 50% balance is due at least 30 business days prior to the first day of class.

Definition of Student and Organization

  • Student: An individual who registers for a public course, regardless of whether they are self-sponsored or enrolled through an organization.

  • Organization: A business, government entity, or institution registering one or more students under a pre-negotiated, invoiced training arrangement.

For on-site training engagements, Organizations are responsible for all venue, travel, and related expenses incurred by Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC in connection with the training. These costs are due and payable immediately upon invoice, regardless of whether the training is held, canceled, or rescheduled.

Copyright and Usage Restrictions

All training materials—whether digital, printed, or instructor-delivered—are the exclusive intellectual property of Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC and are protected by U.S. and international copyright laws.

Any recording, copying, reproduction, reuse, modification, distribution, display, or transmission of course content, in whole or in part, for any purpose, is strictly prohibited without the express written consent of Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC.

Violations of copyright may result in civil and criminal penalties, including:

  • Statutory damages ranging from $750 to $30,000 per infringement; and

  • Willful infringement penalties of up to $150,000 per work infringed under U.S. law.

IF STUDENT OR ORGANIZATION CANCELS TRAINING

A Student or Organization may cancel or withdraw from a course without cause by providing written notice via email to Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC at info@cybersecuritytrainingco.com, subject to the following terms and conditions:

  • The original selected or specified course start date will be used to determine refund eligibility based on the timelines outlined in the Refund Window Policy.

  • Delays caused by the student or by external circumstances (e.g., weather, illness, logistical conflicts, or third-party disruptions) do not alter or extend the start date used to calculate the refund window.

  • Students and organizations are solely responsible for understanding and adhering to all cancellation deadlines. Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC does not issue reminder notices regarding refund eligibility windows.

Discounted Package Terms

There are no partial refunds available for discounted training packages, unless:

  • A course within the package is canceled by Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC, and

  • It is not replaced by another course of equal or similar purpose and value within the original training scope.

Non-Refundable Referral Purchases

Special Notice:

  • Any course purchased using a referral or affiliate link is not eligible for a refund.

  • This restriction is necessary due to the high risk of abuse and fraud within the CMMC Training Academy Affiliate/Reseller Program.

REFUND WINDOW

Refund eligibility is based on the number of calendar days prior to the scheduled course start date at the time of the cancellation request. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to info@cybersecuritytrainingco.com.

Refund Schedule:

  • Cancellation ≥ 60 days before course start date:
Eligible for a full refund, minus a $250 cancellation fee.

  • Cancellation between 45 and 59 days before course start date:
Eligible for a 50% refund, minus a $250 cancellation fee.

  • Cancellation < 45 days before course start date:
No refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

Important Notes:

  • The Refund Window does not reset or extend if a course is rescheduled by the student.

  • Refund eligibility ends entirely once a course access code has been issued, even if the email is not opened, is blocked, or goes to spam.

  • For Self-Paced and Facilitated courses, please refer to the Refund and Course Access Policy, as different conditions apply.

IF WE CANCEL TRAINING

Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC reserves the right to cancel any scheduled training with at least fifteen (15) calendar days’ notice for any reason, including but not limited to instructor availability, operational needs, or low enrollment.

In the event of cancellation:

  • The company’s sole liability is limited to offering one or more alternative training dates for the same version of the course originally purchased.

  • If no alternative training date is made available within the student’s one-year eligibility period, a refund of any unused portion of prepaid course registration fees will be issued.

Short-Notice Cancellations (Less Than 15 Calendar Days)

In rare cases, Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC may be required to cancel training with less than fifteen (15) calendar days’ notice due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Instructor illness or emergency

  • Facility or venue closures

  • Force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions, internet outages)

In such cases:

  • Students will be offered one or more rescheduling options, subject to availability and the original one-year training window.

  • If no rescheduling is possible within that window, a full refund of unused prepaid course registration fees will be provided.

Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including but not limited to airfare, hotel reservations, transportation, or missed work.

Students and organizations are strongly encouraged to delay non-refundable travel arrangements until receipt of written confirmation of course delivery.

IF TRAINING IS DELAYED DUE TO FACTORS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL

Delays in training caused by circumstances outside the control of Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC—including but not limited to natural disasters, public health crises, instructor illness, third-party platform issues, acts of government, or other force majeure events—do not qualify for a refund.

In such cases, students will be provided with options to reschedule their training within the boundaries of the one-year eligibility period from the original purchase date.

Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC will make reasonable efforts to contact affected students who do not currently have a confirmed or updated training date on file. Students must respond to such communications within five (5) business days.

Failure to respond within this timeframe will result in forfeiture of all rights to a refund. However, the student will still retain the right to attend the same version of the training purchased, provided that version remains active, and only for the duration of the original one-year training window.

FACILITATED/SELF-PACED TRAINING

Students who purchase either a Facilitated or Self-Paced course from Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC are eligible for a full refund only if an access code to the course materials has not yet been issued via email.

Once an access code has been issued—regardless of whether:

  • the code has been redeemed,

  • the email has been opened or read,

  • the email has been blocked by an email gateway,

  • or the email is located in the recipient's spam or junk folder—

the refund eligibility is void. The act of issuing the access code constitutes the full delivery of the purchased product.

Self-paced training is available for one (1) year from the date of purchase. However, Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC is not liable for any changes initiated by a certification authority (e.g., Cyber AB, CAICO) that may render the course content outdated or misaligned with a newly released certification exam version.

Should an updated course version be released as a result of such changes, students who wish to access the new version must pay a $500 upgrade fee.

If the one-year access period expires, the student must repurchase the course at full price in order to regain access. No extensions or partial discounts are provided beyond the original access window.

RETRAINING

Students are eligible for one (1) free retraining of the same version of the course they originally purchased, provided that:

  • The retraining occurs within one (1) year of the original purchase date; and

  • The course was a live, instructor-led public course; and

  • The version of the course is still active and offered by Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC.

After one year, or for any additional retraining sessions, a $500 retraining fee will apply—provided that the original course version is still available. If the course version has been retired or replaced, retraining is not be possible, and students will be required to purchase the updated version at full price if they wish to continue training.

Important Notes:

  • Retraining is subject to availability and must be scheduled in advance.

  • Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC reserves the right to deny retraining if the course content has been retired or significantly revised.

Self-Paced and Facilitated courses are not eligible for retraining, repetition, or re-enrollment under this policy. These course types are delivered with a fixed one-year access period, after which the student must repurchase the course at full price to regain access.

PRACTICE EXAMS

Students are entitled to unlimited access to available practice exams associated with their paid training for the version of the course in effect at the time of purchase.

RESCHEDULING

For Individual Students

Students may request to be rescheduled to a future live, instructor-led public training course, subject to the following conditions:

  • Students have one (1) year from the original purchase date to attend training.

  • It is the student’s sole responsibility to track and act within this one-year window.

  • Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC is not responsible for monitoring or notifying students of expiration deadlines.

  • Rescheduling requests made fewer than ten (10) business days before the scheduled course start date will not be honored, except in the case of a documented medical emergency from a licensed treating physician.

  • In all other cases, the student forfeits both the registration fee and the right to attend training. No refund will be issued.

  • Rescheduling does not extend the refund eligibility period as defined in the Refund Policy. Once an access code has been issued or the refund window has closed, no refund is available, regardless of any rescheduling activity.

  • If Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC reschedules a course for any reason, including events outside its control, students will be notified of alternative training options.

Students who fail to respond within five (5) business days of notification will forfeit all rights to a refund but will retain access to the same version of the training for the duration of the one-year eligibility period.

For Organizations

Organizations may request rescheduling in lieu of a refund, provided that:

  • The request is submitted in writing to info@cybersecuritytrainingco.com at least ten (10) business days before the scheduled training date.

  • The organization has one (1) year from the originally scheduled training date to receive the purchased training.

  • Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requested new dates but is under no obligation to approve the specific dates proposed by the organization.

Note: Training fees may vary based on delivery location, venue, or delivery format. Applicable taxes may be charged as required by law.

Third-Party Registrations

Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC will not accept third-party payments or applications unless the third party is:

  • a government agency,

  • the applicant’s direct employer, or

  • explicitly authorized in writing by Cyber Security Training and Consulting LLC prior to registration.

Important Distinction – Rescheduling vs. Retraining

Rescheduling a course does not entitle the student to retraining under the terms outlined in the Retraining Policy. Retraining refers to re-enrollment in a course that was previously purchased and attended (or missed), and is governed by separate eligibility and fee rules.

Students who fail to attend a rescheduled course within the original one-year eligibility period must repurchase the course at full price.
