Details: The Instructor Open Q&A Discussions are group calls where CCP and CCA students together are welcome and encouraged to join to ask questions of the instructor regarding the training material.
NEW! All students will also be given access to a previously recorded 4-day training session via our Attendee Hub. This allows you to also watch a prior virtual, instructor-led course!
With our flexible approach, you can schedule time to engage with the instructor at your convenience, addressing questions or challenges unique to your learning experience.
Comprehensive course materials include 500+ pages of detailed explanations, real-world examples, practical exercises, and quizzes to reinforce your knowledge.
Program Format:
- Self-study: Upon enrollment you will be given access tothe training content. You are free to read and study at your own pace.
- Assignments: As part of the CMMC Certified Assessor (CCA) training, you will complete at least three online assignments, designed to provide hands-on experience in CMMC evaluation and self-assessment. Each assignment is carefully reviewed by your certified instructor, ensuring you stay on track and make meaningful progress through the course material. These practical exercises reinforce your understanding and prepare you for real-world CMMC implementation challenges.
- (NEW Effective October 4, 2025) Optional Live, Instructor Q&A Discussion: Students are welcome and encouraged to join live group discussions with an instructor. Our CCP and CCA students are welcome on the calls. These are group discussions planned for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. Arizona time. These calls are subject to instructor availability, holidays, vacations, etc. so session dates/days may vary.

NOTE: As per the new 32 CFR Part 170 CMMC Final Rule: You DO NOT have to be a citizen of the United States to become certified.
Path to Becoming a Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA)
To earn the CMMC Certified Assessor (CCA) credential, you must meet the following certification requirements:
- Hold a CMMC Certified Professional (CCP) Certification: The CCP credential is a prerequisite.
- Obtain DoD Tier 3 Clearance: Gain a Tier 3 Background Investigation determination or equivalent.
- Maintain Good Standing with CAICO: Stay compliant with CAICO application requirements.
- Sign Required Agreements: Complete necessary agreements as part of the application process.
- Pay Fees: Submit initial application fees and maintain certification through annual renewal fees.
- Complete the CMMC Assessor Course: Attend training provided by a CMMC Approved Training Provider (ATP).
- Pass the CCA Certification Exam: Successfully complete the exam to validate your knowledge and skills.
- Meet Professional Experience Requirements:
- At least 3 years of cybersecurity experience.
- At least 1 year of assessment or audit experience.
- Hold a baseline certification aligned to the Intermediate/Advanced Proficiency Level under DoD Manual 8140.3 (e.g., Security Control Assessor).
